Queer Econ
Queer Econ is not one programme among many. It is the organising logic of the entire organisation. Queer Econ is the programmatic spine of Queer WorX. It is both a programme in its own right, delivering direct economic capacitation to LGBTIQ+ persons in Lesotho, and the architectural framework that holds our strategic pillars together.
Programme outcomes
Through Queer Econ, LGBTIQ+ people in Lesotho are equipped to participate fully, safely, and sustainably in the economy. The programme contributes to: - Increased economic independence among LGBTIQ+ individuals through entrepreneurship, employment, and income-generating opportunities. - Stronger and more sustainable queer-owned businesses that are market-ready, financially resilient, and positioned for growth. - Improved financial literacy, confidence, and access to formal financial services, including banking, savings, credit, insurance, and investment opportunities. - Expanded digital skills and technological access that enable participation in the modern and digital economy.
