Queer WorX is thrilled to announce the launch of our Queer Econ Incubator, our flagship initiative designed to empower queer entrepreneurs and professionals in Lesotho!

This initiative tackles exclusion head-on while advancing economic justice and creating safe, affirming spaces for our community. Ultimately addressing Strategic Development Goals: 

SDG 1 - End poverty in all its forms everywhere

SDG 8 – Promote sustained, inclusive and economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. 

SDG 10 – Reduced inequalities within and among countries.

The principle of "leave no one behind" demands intentional inclusion; yet LGBTIQ+ people remain invisible in most SDG monitoring frameworks.

At Queer WorX, we believe our community’s greatest resource is our human capital, our knowledge, skills, creativity, resilience, and lived experiences. When these capabilities are nurtured and valued, we not only transform our own lives but also fuel the growth and strength of our entire society.

We're building something BIG, and we want YOU to help design it. The Incubator will equip queer folx with the tools, skills, and opportunities to start and grow their income-generating activities. 

The first step to take together is the co-creation of Queer Econ Incubator. We invite you to take part in this Needs Assessment, where your insights, experiences, and aspirations will directly shape the training and build opportunities, ensuring the program is designed with you, by you, and for our community.

This is a build-up to the first convening of its kind: Phutheho, Lesotho’s first LGBTI Business Network and Market, scheduled for 2026. This national convening on LGBTI economic participation in Lesotho aims to gather queer entrepreneurs, professionals, allies, business community and organisations to explore strategies for building economic resilience and advancing inclusion. 

This isn't just a survey, it's co-creation in action!
